Biography


Jo K Russell is a singer/songwriter who grew up in the burbs of Melbourne. She first picked up a guitar in a standard campfire situation at the age of sixteen and started writing after she had completed what she calls 'an adequate apprenticeship in pain'.

As part of duo Frenulum with fellow singer/songwriter Rachel Parkinson and more recently as one third of trio Shiney alongside Marisa Magee and Deanna Constantine, she has played to fantastic response in venues all over Melbourne.

Jo K Russell, solo, is a new adventure for her and the fulfillment of a dream.
