Biography
d Henry Fenton started out as part of the Sydney music scene in the late nineties with the band Holly Golightly (later becoming the single monikered Holly). They released an EP Hollywould and 2 singles Dumb Waiter and Tiny Pieces the latter becoming a regional airplay hit. Holly toured with The Corrs and Morphine and appeared on national TV shows including Australia’s Hey Hey It’s Saturday.

Fenton left the band in 2000 to follow his muse and ended up relocating to North Carolina. It was in the US that he was spotted by Laughing Outlaw Records (LOR) after a performance at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin Texas. He eventually signed a deal which culminated in LOR putting him in the studio with indie legend producer Mitch Easter (REM/Suzanne Vega).

Fenton’s debut album titled Autumn Sweet was released May 2002 and received airplay on 2JJJ, 3RRR, 4ZZZ, 5YYY and regional FM for the song The Many Faces Of Esther, and Rage and MTV play for the filmclip to I’m Not Ready For You. As well as some fantastic reviews both in Australia and Internationally.

He has opened for Grammy winner John Mayer in the US and recently played his first London show. Fenton is currently working on his follow up album in Melbourne due for release 2004.
