In the beginning there was a man and woman.
Instead of indulging in perverse and debauched sin, they recruited a violinist and double bassist to create the most beautiful sounds the world would ever hear. They set forth on the road together and took their message over the mountains and through the valleys to the ears and hearts of the great people of their land. As their gift rose, firstly as a modest glimmer beyond the horizon to becoming a great shining light upon the earth, it was declared, synchronistically by all living creatures in their kingdom, “Let there be LAMPLIGHT!”
With a soul engaging and endearing live show, Lamplight personifies Melbourne's contemporary live music scene with insight, wistful lyricism and a deeply inspired musicality beyond their years.
