Search newherenowlive.com for Airway Lanes Biography 4-piece rock/pop band Airway Lanes formed in late 2005 when Taxiride member Dan Hall teamed up with Melbourne musicians Chris Hawker, Glen "Scrubby" Evans and Paul "Spyder" Marrett.
Following several gigs at local Prahran live music venues, they signed a recording deal with Melbourne-based Dust Devil Music (Icecream Hands, Ben Smith Band) and commenced writing music the way they do.
The first taste of Airway Lanes' style came with an EP in late 2006 "Desire" which received airplay via Nova FM (Melbourne & Sydney), landed the band a spot on Rove Live, and also made single of the week on iTunes.
Since then, Airway Lanes have been performing regularly (including the recent Palais Theatre support with INXS) and recording their debut album "In Vino Veritas".
In Vino Veritas (roughly translated as - 'in wine is truth') is a brilliantly scripted album of grand musicianship.
Co-written by Hall and Hawker, In Vino Veritas, reflects life's rollercoaster of human relations - lyrics that touch every aspect of the heart with deep reality.
This is classical quality rock'n'roll in its truest sense - not shallow, disposable pop - but free spirited and real.
In fact the simple cover of this album, a dove in flight, is representative of the graceful freedom of spirit the album exudes.
The first single from the album, 'Don't let Go' was released on iTunes in January, and 11,000 downloads later, registered as Australia's No.1 iTunes download for the month.
